EXCITING NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR 13-18 YEAR OLDs IN GLASGOW

• Passionate about Contemporary Dance or Physical Theatre?
• Aged 13 – 18 and live in Glasgow?
• Interested in making links with the professional world of dance and theatre?
• Looking to learn exciting new skills while having fun and meeting new people?
• Interested in performing in professional theatres?

If the answer is ‘yes’ then our new Youth dance- theatre company could be for you. If you would like to become part of our creatively daring & adventurous company, please write to us telling us why you are interested in joining us and why this would be a good opportunity for you. Include your name, age, contact details & a brief description of your dance or theatre experience. You DO NOT need previous experience to apply, however you do need to be hardworking, committed and genuinely interested in the professional dance and theatre world.
Sessions are affordable, running one evening every week during term-time, with two week-long intensives to create and rehearse our performance work and six performances throughout the year.

DANCING VOICES 2012
Dancing Voices 2012 will bring together older dancers and singers in a large-scale dance and vocal project. The participatory project will end with two high profile events: A performance on 11th July at 3pm as part of Big Dance at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London's Southbank Centre, and at the Old Fruitmarket on July 29th as part of Merchant City Festival, Glasgow. The project is devised by East London Dance and commissioned as the pan-London older people's project for Big Dance 2012 and Capital Age Festival. To read more please go to our 'news' page.

Barrowland Ballet*** (formerly known as Gilmore Productions) is the Glasgow based company led by choreographer Natasha Gilmore. The company devises, distributes and promotes dance theatre creations and films and undertakes specific commissions in professional and community settings.
